Micah and I celebrated our birthday together over the weekend. In case you didn't know, we share the same day- September 16th!
On Friday we met with a few new friend couples up in our neighborhood at a pub called "Moon and Sixpence", which specializes in British fare, ale, and cider. We had a wonderful time enjoying company and being relaxed.
On Saturday, we drove down to Eugene to meet up with the family and spend some time with Grandma Carol and Grandpa Leon, who were in town. We had a wonderful meal together and got to spend some quality time catching up with them.
On Sunday, we all went to the Eugene Walk to Defeat ALS. Micah and I worked at the event, and the rest of the family came so that we could all take part and walk in dad's memory. Our Team was called "Team Togzilla", based on dad's nickname that he liked to use. Micah designed the logo and we all pinned them onto our shirts and wore matching rock and roll accessories to pay homage to Dad. Even Stacy's corgi dog Sophie was there to support our team!
After the walk and spending a little more time with family, Micah and I made our goodbyes and enjoyed a long drive back home, where we talked about the weekend and discussed our upcoming wedding plans. All around, a good time was had by all!
Thank you to everyone for the birthday cards and wishes, we read each one together and appreciate the love and support.
